Rome
The Italian capital has been undergoing a great deal of political changes over the last decades that have created many tensions between the public administration, the private sector and the Romans. The Mafia Capitale corruption scandal brought to light many ways in which public resources to be spent on social priorities were instead stolen by politicians and fake cooperatives. In such conditions of neglect and abandonment over the last years many citizens have taken the future in their hands and developed a series of pioneering projects in the attempt of providing better conditions in Rome. Some of these experiences are illustrated in these articles, enjoy!
