Often associated to the administrative and political power in Spain, Madrid has seen an increase in the community-led projects especially as a result of the economic crisis, which was particularly severe in Spain where a speculative bubble had created an unreal wealth. Over recent years communities have carried out many socially rooted projects and have entered the City Administration with the municipal elections in 2015.
